I'm sitting at a hair salon with the radio playing and there have been 3 Harris ads so far, nothing from Trump.
I haven't seen any banner ads or streaming ads for him either.
I know this is all anecdotal, but seriously: Where are Trump's campaign ads? They seem absent from the normie space.
EDIT: this is in a battleground state where he definitely needs his ads playing.
I don't know how advertising works, but could a "channel" refuse a potential advertiser? I can imagine some outlets would refuse to air ads for Trump.
Also, is your state a "battleground" state (Don't answer that if you don't want to)? It may be that they're mostly spending in specific areas in the US.
You're correct on all counts
No they can’t.
this is a battleground state, when he should absolutely be campaigning.
Battleground state reporting in. For the past month, I have received pro-Trump political spam in the mail every single day that mail is delivered. No, I am not exaggerating about the volume. There are new pro-Trump billboards that went up around the county recently. I use uBlock origin and don't watch TV so I can't otherwise comment on digital advertising, but the Trump campaign has definitely been reaching out here on physical platforms.
For comparison, I have not received a single piece of pro-Harris mail. I did receive 2-3 generic "Vote Democrat" pieces of mail, but that was for everyone on the ballot, not Harris-specific. I also received multiple pro-RFK Jr. pieces of mail before he dropped out.
I am not registered with any party.
I have no idea what is going on with OP's situation, but it does not reflect my personal experience. I suspect the advertising dollars are very tightly targeted by ZIP or county.
