America has been losing it's influence with ineffectual leadership either by design or nepotism, but at it's core has still enough assets to come through. For example, it's air superiority would WIN any future major war alone. All the talk of Russian and Chinese 'next-gen fighters' would either be grounded or scrap against the now 26 year old F-22.
China is a MASSIVE glass cannon, their economy is a lie with a currency constantly manipulated, their military is untested and a lot of their gear only looks good from the outside, their buildings are made of tofu effectively that I'm more scared that massive dam will burst on it's own and they have a bigger population issue than even Japan or South Korea. They're effectively a bee in that if they sting it'll hurt but they will die doing it.
Manufacturing wins wars. America has none.
America is in second place to China's first place, and we've got about 60% of their capacity. We're also growing our industrial output at about 2x the rate of China, who has significantly slowed down.
Plus we make actual good shit. We produce quality products and high tech stuff, while China makes cheap shit and crappy electronics.
We're fine on a manufacturing front.
