He acknowledges Lockley's revisionism to make himself sound "more reasonable" and then he tells everyone not to cancel Lockley and that Lockley wasn't being intentionally malicious. He doesn't "acknowledge Lockley's revisionism", he refutes it entirely. As in, he specifically, is the one refuting it. He's not agreeing with someone else's opinion, he's gone over this before.
