It was a war they started; they didn't remove communists or socialists, they actually recruited many of them; when they started losing the war they decided to kill their own country; and they successfully replaced Socialists in Germany with Socialists in Germany who were then overthrown and divided up between Socialists who ruled Germany in the west, and Socialists who ruled Germany in the East, so now Socialists can rule Germany since the unification.
