But for the rest, it's sequels baby, even when it ended on the best note (Gladiator, Toy Story 3)
It's always easier to destroy something than to build it on your own.
Sequels are perfect for that. Take the name, remove the innards and wear its skin. And then blame the fans for being sexist/racist/whateverist so you get good media coverage and a reason for it flopping.
