I don't think they would care, as long they are not white they get to claim that European accomplishments are theirs, somehow. You see them mixing northern-Africans with sub-Saharan Africans all the time despite not having anything in common.

They found a handful of black skeletons in Europe prior to the Age of Explorers, so these places were always diverse.
