Mandatory reminder that the Inuit are not native to the Canadian Arctic. They genocided their way from Alaska to Greenland and finally Northern Quebec possibly as late as 1500, shortly before the French arrived in Quebec.
So they are as ''Aboriginal'' as the ethnic Quebecois.
I would argue that Canada has been defrauding its citizens by making these sweet deals for the "natives" to begin with.
