I actually read the article and she’s kind of the good guy here. It’s clearly been composed or edited to sound like it’s about “trumpism”, but the reality of the story is her dad seems to have become a terminally online weirdo. Like it ends with her begging him not to talk about Facebook politics on his deathbed.
It’s sad because it could be a compelling story overall if they dropped the specific political slant they obviously wanted.
It is published verbatim as her own words from her own substack, including the parts where she didn't bother to visit her terminally ill father because she couldn't bear to hear him praise trump anymore. In no way does she look like a good guy.
She ran for and won office as a Dem representative, this article trying to humiliate her own dead father and talking about him begging on his deathbed was just a means to an end.
Yeah that's a bad habit these days. Political opportunists have fully normalized weaponizing charitable presumptions as a get out of jail free card for taking advantage of people.
High trust society is dead, trust only your friends and others who prove themselves through actions. Don't let the parasites start any more tabs they have no intention of paying.
While it is true that you have to put ideology aside for family, we know for certain she did not; which is why she wrote this article.
Both his and her ideology probably grew him apart, but she couldn't fucking stand him tolerating Trump so she watched him die, and very likely probably hoped he would die sooner. He probably tried to make amends to his daughter before he died. Something like, "I'm sorry if I said things that upset you", which she has since weaponized against him.
To be clear, she's not upset that he's dead. She's glad that he's dead because it gives her another arrow in her quiver; which is why she made this post; and which is why you have to fight for your family against ideology.
I'm guessing he was bullied by this horrible woman before she died.
Imagine dying while being subjected to your daughter's TDS screeds.
"Give me something for the cringe and let me die."

Fuck. That’s what I get for giving someone the benefit of the doubt.
