Four things learned from the debate. Big one, Biden looks awful. Second one, Trump just lied without being corrected all the time.

Biden in 2019 vs 2024
I find it pretty unlikely that Biden is replaced. He hasn't been running the show at the White House since inauguration day. Whatever group is pulling the strings did it out of necessity at first, but now they like being President. Biden's condition isn't a problem for them its a benefit so long as they can push him across the finish line. Harris will back the current admin publicly because its her only shot at being President: the DNC will have a hard time oustering a minority woman. Add in the fact that the Shadow President(s) would be right about the dangers of changing horses right now and you ensure Biden will be the nominee unless he dies before the convention (an actual possibility in my opinion).
The problem is that Biden has done such an actual bad job during his term that even his own base isn't capable of being fully fed the line of shit from the DNC about how awesome he is. Him going up there as an embarrassment after 2 really toxic wars (for his side, they are still hugely divided on it) and inflation bad enough that it was noticeable is enough to actually shake their hold on people.
So its less about what his group wants, and a question of "do you want to even have a chance of winning?" by keeping him running. That is of course ignoring how much they will cheat.
It's hilarious how hard the media tries to gaslight people about inflation.
"We're not in a recession! Look, the S&P500 reached a new all-time high! The CPI is going down! The economy is fine! STOP FUCKING WHINING!!!"
"Gas went down FIFTEEN CENTS! Biden Economy is working!!!"
