Still makes me sad to see what has happened to ESPN. That was a great channel for guys once and I used to watch shows like the sports reporters and cheap seats. Loved the reruns of the home run duels they would show when I was a kid. So cool seeing Willie Mays vs Mickey Mantle.
I was watching the channel regularly up to the point when Around the Horn ended the show lecturing about kids in cages. That was the last straw after constant racial and political discussion
I remember my last straw was on the morning show with Stephen Smith and Max Kellerman were mad that Tiger Woods took the evil step of saying you don't have to respect Trump as a person but you should respect his office. They thought it was a terrible opinion and far right but it's such an innocuous opinion.
I know and what did have have to do with sports. You remember that press conference Tiger had after winning a tournament where the reporter kept asking him about Trump until Tiger said do you have any golf questions because if not I want to eat lunch
I remember when that was a huge talking point during the Obama years. "Fuck the guy, but he is still the president and you should treat that with respect." I heard it quite a lot from centrist types and normies.
Just another example of how far the window shifted when TDS came into play.

Even the sports media had to provide the liberal bona-fides
It got so bad the head of espn had to tell them to shut up about politics. I miss 80s/90s ESPN

Mine was the constant coverage of Michael Sam. You would have thought he was the next Michael Strahan.
I know! The draft being all about a 7 th rounder was absurd
