honestly, I think it's here. major studios keep hemorrhaging money. Nintendo has been relatively safe from it because they keep making actually good games frequently.
the results from the market are in: Mario games are fun. Zelda games are fun. I personally hate what they did to Zelda with breath of the wild and tears of the Kingdom, but the market does not lie.

The gamecube was a powerhouse yet the weaker PS2 outperformed it. The Wii was the weakest of that gen and it massively outperformed its stronger rivals. Nintendo knows where the money is for consoles, and its not in graphics.
