yes. especially when you look at who is involved, who they know, who they're married to, who gets these useless producer credits that I presume gets them paid and probably on the back-end too. and all of those consulting firms and outsource shops getting paid.
hollywood has been extremely tight with organized crime since hollywood existed. the various unions take protection payouts and I'm sure the various guilds and other associations are essentially nepotism grifting rings.
maybe I've got that backwards. the useless producers are ppl putting up money and getting their friends paid. but oh wow look the movie didn't even break even! so it's a tax writeoff. your buddies got paid (totally for making the movie and not something else they did for you) and you get a tax break.
