I remember the youtube channel Two Best Friends Play breaking down and doing a "playthrough" of the game where they just let it run in the background and auto-play itself for 95% of it. It was AWFUL. The game, that is. The "playthrough" was basically a Just Chatting stream.
The TV show will be worse than a couple nerds just blabbering overtop of the game.
They already made a Minecraft Story Mode set of games during its peak heyday and it was so awful its still joked about to this day.
This will almost certainly not only be based on that pile of garbage, but made worse because its Netflix.

Far as my understanding of it it is that its literally just a Western VN with Telltale "X will remember this" choices rarely.
Which basically means its perfect for a regular series adaptation, if the story was worth adapting.
Dungeons was a decent game, but about 800% shorter than you would expect.
