Just had this discussion the other day with u/m0r1arty and a video popped up as a perfect example of what I was talking about. He responds to a video between Ari Shaffir and Howie Mandel where Howie (who I never even knew was Jewish) is apparently terrified of anti-Semitism and Ari Shaffir thinks it's all nonsense.
In it, Glenn claims that he knows not a single person in his entire life experiencing an "anti-Semitism" attack and debunks the recent "Jewish student stabbed in eye" story.
It should be noted that Ari says he only sees it online and Howie claims he never goes out but that it clearly exists and is a major problem in the real world.
None of the Jews I know ever complained about anti-Semitism except, to a very minor extent, in relation to the college protests after 10/7. The Tree of Life shooting happened, but there have been so many more shootings at Christian churches and no mainstream figure outside of Fox has ever sounded the alarm about a wave of "anti-Christianity."
For most of my life, and even still most of the time now, it's a completely irrelevant detail. But there are those who insist that it's important that I know that they're Jewish, and most of those people suck.
It would seem that Glenn has made the connection that some people too close to the forest can't see the wood for the trees.
I would posit that's always been the case but with everyone now connected to whatever areas on interest they like working hard to get their attention via clickbait and polarisation that everything in people's smaller personal worlds seems to be flooded as if it is happening all around them and that is the boilerplate that lots of different people with different interests are noticing just now.
I'd say it's always probably been around this mark until social media started highlighting (And also censoring) certain elements to generate income.
EDIT: Thanks for tagging me. I forgot you did because of the length of time it took to get through that 20 minute video with things going on here. He's a little slow, but thorough for it, for my personal hot-takes but it was a good watch. Thanks!

I never really thought about his ethnicity, but once you see it...
Who nose?

That took a while to listen to!
