An entire alternative media landscape evolved to counter the german juntas propaganda and have actual discussions of the war against russia going hot.
First the media launched article after article how all of their viewers and readers are nazis, then when even the normies started asking them if they had shit-for-brains all comment sections were closed.
They were reopened later with heavy moderation and timed windows outside of which they were closed again.
Strangely publishers started whining about needing money from google and taxes not shortly after, as they lost a good chunk of views.
Yahoo's frontpage would have based comments that was amusing to read amidst all the Trump Derangement Syndrome, but they shut that down in time for the 2018 midterms. Since then I've set my bookmark to go straight to email.
