I thought it was a bit ridiculous when I saw a suggestion of me becoming a mod but with the brigading spammers because for the most part I'm very hands off. With summer holidays right around the corner and no lifers coming out of woodwork along with us being one user away from having child porn spammed I think someone needs to step in. Otherwise potentially the whole site is going to get nuked because I've seen this behaviour before back on reddit. Whoever these brigaders really are seem to be deliberately posting gradually worse content and 'views' up to try and fuck with everyone and it's much more obvious now who it is.

Isn't there an automod or something similar which could hoover up new accounts which get reported repeatedly?
That's the thing the brigaders are abusing reports now so they'll use that to boot off anyone they don't like. Even dom was noticing people false flagging on topic posts as 'spam'. At the rate we're going it's just going to turn into another conpro community filled with spergs posting about Israel and jews constantly even though it's supposed to be a gaming community.
now you are showing your true reasons for wanting the mod position
It's not some big reveal, you guys are spamming cunts.
lol this isn't some big reveal, you guys are spamming cunts and no one likes you.
As i said to the other guy. You JIDF are the minority here
"Muh gaming community" "muh brigades", these arguments seem familiar somehow. Fairly sure they were the reasons given on half-KiA for many of the gay mod abuses. Whiners on Reddit KiA2 had the exact same complaints.
Sometimes I wonder if you're an Imp alt (though it would be remarkable self control for Imp to maintain the facade for so long).
Anyway, only first wavers should be mods. Kienan, Assassin or even m0r1arty would be my vote.
Those three would be fine by me as well and also Imp is clearly living rent free in your head.
I was thinking the automoderator could weigh users based on their time on the boards and upvotes for posts/threads they've taken part in.
It's not perfect but it will mean those looking to bork the boards will have to put more effort in and hard work puts off anyone when they're no returns on it.
I get your thinking but that's been tried before on reddit and it was a predictable disaster. Really you just need mods who are active and capable of pattern recognition and given how much the vote system is being shamelessly abused I'd love to do away with it entirely.
New mods generally always come with new reasons to hate on mods.
I think if the load can be taken by automoderation it stops power being abused by those seeking it in the first place.
You sound just like Dom. Why the hell would anybody here be in favor of trading one shill for another?
