Any expression can be considered art, depending upon who it is that is experiencing it :)
When it's all said and done the 'Culture War' is all about what expressions do people want to have around them and what ones do they not want around them.
I'm absolutely certain that all of the DEI boxes could be ticked and players could have a great time if the folks making and promoting it knew how to get their audience to challenge themselves in all the right ways.
But all the nuance and subtlety which could illustrate grander ideas to a larger commercial audience is far beyond the abilities of those current creating and promoting. That's pretty much why we're all here. Give me a [Insert all the Oppression Olympic Checkmarks you can think of] but make it fun and worth talking about with friends and it will sell and generate conversation and consideration with it.
Ramming ideas which aren't sugar-coated down people's throats and calling them the worst names you can think of for them not liking it is real amateur hour histrionics and not worthy of any attention other than derision.
Art is derivative, as are interpretations of it or translations.
Once we are fully ride of the hebephiles trolling we can think about tightening it up.
Until then, anything that breaks up their banal monotony is fine by me.
Are we suggesting our conversations here be considered art? It does provide some momentum to the board which can lull.
