On top of that, any protection it does offer can be ignored if the government feels like it.

Maybe we should do an experiment. Let's eliminate all Charter Rights for a year and see if anyone notices a difference from how things are now.

Quebec has been wiping their ass on it for so long, that the Canadian judicial system is literal French tripe.

Alberta threatens a lot but they are asshats of a different sort for never actually going ahead. They have the money (oil) but seem to like being QCs equalization pay ho.
