Six months? That's how long before the man who won the election has to wait before any act of governance can be conducted? What a joke. I've said this before but parliamentary systems are fucking stupid.
It's one of the problems with multi-party parliamentary governments, it probably took that long to negotiate for enough parties to act together as a majority.

One of the other problems is that a very real possibility existed that he'd have been excluded from a governing coalition.
It's just a clusterfuck of a system if you ask me.
Giving every Tom Dick & Harry a voice/vote doesn't help when Tom's dick is in Harry.
Applying that to the governing "system" just makes the reality easier to see, since humans are bad at understanding behavior at scale.
