To be fair this demotion should only be temporary while the case is investigated as Arrowhead would be seen as being in support of this if, after investigation, it is seen as acceptable behaviour.
I'm against people being fired for misunderstandings but if people aren't doing their job, and jeopardising those who are doing theirs' livelihood by employment association, then it is not just their job that will be lost from their actions as the consequences will spill-over and blight others.
I expect 'purplegion' to be looking for employment elsewhere prior to June.
i'm really not sure how this could be a misunderstanding though. Saying someone is a frequent sexual assaulter while working as a community manager and in your mod position on a companys discord server should be insta firing simply because it opens the company up to a lawsuit
I agree EP but HR have to make sure that everyone gets to say their piece and weigh in on the value of what is presented as a means of showing arbitration with Restorative Justice and perhaps a means to professionally develop that employee prior to making sure they won't get sued for not doing so afterwards after they are let go.
A huge pile of crap for something like this but that's the way the bureaucracy works in the West these days.
