Complete tangent and I know it was tweeted in 2017, but isn't cultural appropriation le bad a talking point since well before then? Why the negative connotation about it in the tweet? Shouldn't "Christians weren't allowed to culturally appropriate us" be cause for joyous celebration, following their ideology?
It's meant in a positive connotation. (the silver lining on the cloud) That's the ironic thing about this. He admits that cultural isolation benefited the Jews to a degree, just as it did for the Japanese at one point. They want to deny that privilege to all nations now - except Israel.
Okay if you seriously don't know this, it somewhat goes back to the leftist drivel about colonisation where for example they hate white people appropriating other cultures and declare that you're not allowed to even eat their food etc. because it's insensitive. There was a hubub awhile back when some Japanese people were being friendly in their typical fashion in America and they were offering to let people try on kimonos etc. and have some fun, leftists can't have that so they sprang into action declaring it was cultural appropriation.
Basically they view it as a facet of white supremacy, but they've expanded the definition so much it has little meaning anymore even in their own circles, it's kind of interesting they don't really go on about it anymore. With regards to Christianity too, they think it's a pretty explicitly 'white' concept like with Capitalism for example so that should give you some idea to their mindset and what she was going with.
Interestingly enough, even the mass migration isn't really at the forefront of everything in leftist ideology now. They're all about transing the kids and making them gay but mainly transing and I think it's because they view it as a perfect way of beating down the male population and it's working.
