This may surprise you but one of the reasons that people are praising it is precisely because is to their credit it isn't infested with micro-transactions, I wouldn't be shocked though if they started milking it and spamming paid DLCs all over the place.
I don't know why anyone would take the BAFTA awards seriously though, it's proving itself to be nothing more than an industry wide circle jerk and they wanted to turn it into something like the golden globes and other industry events. It was clear when the steam awards started pushing their shit out even the normies were confused as fuck about their choices because they simply didn't match up with reality.
BG3 is guilty of plenty more than the beast sex, that's just a retarded marketing meme they utilised pretty well. Lots of broken crap they're still fixing to this day which if they had tested it properly for five seconds they would have made it a smooth gameplay experience.
I hate the person who thought that the jump mechanics were a good idea. Also I'm kind of surprised they didn't shove Harley Quinn in there because the leftists love fanboing over her but maybe that would have been too obvious propaganda even by their standards.
It does surprise me. I assume any popular new game is full of them. Cosmetic stuff I'm not sure I really care about either way in the end. "High fantasy" or whatever you'd call it has so many games I could play in history, there's just no reason to bother with a questionable game.
