Microsoft sacrifices video game market, more at 11..
Like seriously, are we back more than a decade with the Xbox One/PS4 announcement where their DRM push fucked them over and gave Sony a MASSIVE advantage by them just doing nothing?
Like all Sony has to do is nothing and release Stellar Blade with no interference and they get ALL the money. Microsoft REALLY misread the situation especially if they insist this on current games as right now, Xbox gamers are begging to play Helldivers 2 but Sony exclusivity is stopping that. When that runs out and it STILL can't come because Microsoft insists they hire SBI and make changes, you're going to see an abandonment of the console.
I'm going to guess Sony Japan got their hands on the gaming division a bit. It seems so far they've quietly been walking back from the full-on DEI push in ways, at least since Spider-Man 2 flopped.
These companies all killed me off, I was all-in on consoles for probably 15 years, now an upgraded Switch is about the only thing that might get my attention. PC support for TV play with controllers hurt my interest in consoles, and DEI games put in the killing blow.
I heard recently Xbox users have been suffering from out of nowhere account bans that offer no explanation or appeal.
One of the guys I watched only got it reversed because he had an audience that could apply pressure to force them to look at it. I have no clue why Microsoft is behaving this way in the gaming market.
They had an opportunity not all that long ago to really take over the gaming market by just being the one who just wants to make games. They went the other way it seems.
I just went through my game pass sub to see what I might want to keep so I can just let it go. Most of it was on GOG, so on to the GOG watchlist. I was a bit surprised because at one time I played a lot off of game pass. They can have their sub back. The stuff I bought over the years, well if they ban my account then I'll just acquire an ocean-going vessel for anything they steal from me.
Now remember that they are, or at least were trying to force Microsoft accounts to use windows 11. They want to be able to ban you from logging into your own computer, if you question their bullshit.

Remember when Office was a program you bought ONCE and not a subscription model?
I've heard SO many companies complaining about it let alone the normies too scared to seek alternatives
