Tribalism is a basic human instinct, so often times a group is their ideas. Its ingrained in their mind so deep that the two cannot be separated. For example, basketball and black guys for a neutral example. Or Slavs and valuing human life. As such, I don't think you can defeat an idea in any real form without destroying the group itself. Maybe in some perfect world with infinite time and money, but not reality where people are suffering with each wasted moment.
But we end up in the same place regardless, which is "stop screaming like a retard it doesn't help anyone." It anything, at all, is to be accomplished it must be done with consideration for how you will be discredited and appear with adjustments done to counter that.
