You misunderstand.
There is no right to do whatever you need to to survive. If that would violate the rights of others, you are in the wrong regardless of whether you claim that you require something to survive.
Not to mention that they'd be justified in violence to defend themselves.
Simply put there are a lot of things that don't apply to a supposed right to make a living, such that it isn't a right.
Yeah, that's not how this concept works either. A right being limited doesn't make it not a right.
That's some pedantic bullshit I expect to hear out of some idiot lefty. They pull that shit with the 2A all the time. Do not validate their nonsense.
It's hardly pedantry. Either you have the right to live or you don't. Life or death is about the most binary thing you can get.
And in this case, there isn't any actual right to be alive, because there is no such thing as positive rights. This is the opposite of leftist ideals because they only recognize positive rights and not negative rights.
You just completely ignored the idea of the right to life being the right to make a living and pursue what you want to do with your life to make some pedantic point about death.
Also the idea that you have the right to your own life and nobody has the right to take that from you without due process is a negative right.
Because your idea of said right is false, since it would empower theft as legitimate.
And yes, it is a negative right, that's the idea here. But you don't have the right to your own life, just the right to not be deprived of it. The first part would create a positive right. If you compel any action of another, it's not a right.
