So that miserable fat lesbian Hannah Gadsby is not unfunny, she is just not a fascist.
I will be honest, I genuinely think that bitch is part of some kind of a psychological experiment to see if you can just tell a leftist something that is the opposite of reality and they will buy it.
We know Amy Schumer and Lily Singh and the rest are not funny. But Gadsby doesn't even TRY. There are not even attempted, but unfunny jokes, she just goes out and talks about her issues straight on.
Why is she pushed as a comedian? We have enough spaces for those speech-giving nobodies who just go on about their lives, like all the middle-aged sluts who left their husbands to live with dykes, like Glennon Doyle and such.
Funny. I was about to bring up Hannah Gadsby, too. You're spot on about the psychological experiment thing. Liberals seem especially susceptible to them because they're so used to virtue signaling. It probably started with the ice bucket challenge, which was retarded but excused with "it raises awareness." That moved on to wearing safety pins. I actually suffered through a conversation with some liberals who were upset and worried by the LACK of safety pins they saw on people, as though their fad was some ironclad judgment of humanity. After that was the pussy hats, and as you can see from that site, it pivoted to masks. Masks which were found to be of marginal benefit (and could potentially be harmful) but there was a clear divide of who did and did not use them. I'm sure there was a similar divide of who participated in the "howl for healthcare workers" and who didn't. You can keep making up stupid shit, and as long as you tell a liberal "this is what good leftists do" they'll unquestioningly take it up. Or insist Hannah Gadsby is a pioneering comedian because she's never made anyone laugh.
I call it Performative Emotional Synchronization. If the lefty considers a thing good/bad, then they expect people to match if not exceed their level of "joy" or "hatred" when the topic is discussed. Outright refusal, a more measured reaction or even a moment of hesitation mark other parties as outsiders or enemies.
Does not matter if they actually believe or understand what is being discussed, or if they had a completely different take yesterday, or if you have known them for years and discussed the topic previously, only "get on my level of virtue signaling or else".
Genuine tribalistic behavior. Scary
