We're all used to the obvious rot and see it every day; Advil's Black Pain Equity campaign, pronoun sections on corporate meeting software, "safe injection sites" funded by municipal governments being a hot bed for drug abuse. That stuff is so brazen that anybody with a brain and without an agenda will be repelled immediately.
But what about the subtle rot? I'll use the Onion as an example. Perhaps its a bad example since they are a good showing of obvious rot, but I just learned that they purged their old African-American neighborhood terrorized by ask murderer headline and it happened with no fanfare at all. A slow purging of old material deemed ungood; a memory holing except for the fact that the Onion used to be printed on paper and people just took pictures of the old headline. But the point stands -- I had no idea it was purged until I deliberately went looking for it, and its the only old "edgy" Onion headline that appears to have been purged in this fashion.
What else have others observed?
Thanks for just proving my point? Is that what you intended to do?
You claim you aren't a leftist in your post and yet echo their ideology exactly. You are not a "real conservative". You are a faggot wehraboo.
Leftist ideology is underpinned by egalitarianism. That is the fundamental core belief of leftism that pervades all other leftist ideology.
Actual conservatism's main fundamental core belief is elitism. The very opposite of egalitarianism.
If you are not elitist then you are in fact liberal and it's just a question of which era of liberalism you are. Perhaps you're a 1960s liberal or a 1990s liberal but you're a liberal nonrtheless.
Leftist ideology is underpinned by collectivism and authoritarianism, not egalitarianism. You spout their own horseshit propaganda they teach to children as if it's fact, with ZERO understanding of what makes political ideologies.
I would argue you have a very narrow view of political ideologies. Outside of basically a very small select MAGA group of peoples, the idea that left-wing is authoritarianism and right-wing is libertarianism is not the norm. I'll also have you note the root word liber from liberal in libertarianism. Authoritarianism is in fact conservatism. Aristotle who wrote Politics was not a liberal by a long-shot and he advocated for staunch authoritarianism seeing the State as the ultimate good.
I completely understand your belief and I'm not insulting you. I just think you need to expand your horizons a little...
Let me quote one of the founding fathers for you:
You see, Mr. Franklin understood something you do not. When authority is wielded by good people you have a good result. When authority is welded by bad people you have a bad result. Authority is not bad in itself but rather it is the people who are either good or evil not the authority they wield. Mr. Franklin was saying that liberty is something only good people deserve because only good people would use their freedom in a good way. If you give too much freedom to evil people then evil flourishes thus in order to curtail evil you need authority over evil.
The problem with leftism is not that they want authority. The problem with leftism is that they are evil. The reason leftists are evil is because they are egalitarians in a reality that can never be this ideal. When good people want authority to combat evil that is a good thing.
