The beuracratic state manages the businesses, and the businesses are not privately owned, but are corporations approved by the state which have power sharing agreements via the board of directors that has party leaders & trade unionists on it.
A lot of government officials have both significant power in the Democratic Party, are members of major investment banks, and are also regulating the banks through mechanisms like Operation Chokepoint.
Our prevailing narrative is that fascism is the opposition to communism and by attacking one, you are default supporting the other. You can say "I don't support either" but in the moment, and with that specific statement you are supporting one over the other.
They end up being the same thing de facto, so just say "literally communism" because that also works.
