I think the difference is that I would see that as a good start whereas you seem to be offering it as complete solution.
My analogy is by no means a complete solution, just a demonstration that "Open Borders" would still be preventative of Mass Migration if and only if people weren't being actively incentivized to come to any of these western countries.
We still need a wall, we still need language requirements, we still need a mass deportation effort to deport, idk, at least 10 million illegals.
I'd wager the number is closer to 60 million at this point, possibly more. I also want to deport those who were born to invaders, so we're probably edging into the territory of 100 million in my Christmas fantasy land.
I don't think those numbers are accurate. 1/3rd of the population is not illegal, definitely not immigrant, or even first generation.
I think you're forgetting how many seasonal workers we have, and how many people still emigrate every year as well. It's something like 100-300k a year just leave of their own accord.
100-300k is roughly how many are coming in every month with the current administration.
