Everything is manipulated, controlled, farmed, reposted, curated, fabricated, etc. Wouldn't be too far off to deliver a completely synthetic environment.

If it was 99% bots then the userbase left... lol. Nobody knows how much of reddit is botted even now. Could be a huge %. AI is clearly advanced enough to pass the Turing test at least for one comment and one reply. On the other hand that would be a massive scandal if the bot farm was caught somehow, but there's no predicting how low we can go these days.
There have been smoking gun screenshots posted of bot activity, including where it used the exact same text in multiple replies over time. It's admitted that bots post to various groups. Reddit would just say it's not their bots.
