I bet some (if not most) of those threads are created by trolls who are farming 'Jester' awards for points.
Meanwhile the real shills are concern-trolling in innocent looking threads, asking the curator to stop focusing solely on Sweet Baby, dropping their name from the curator name and start focusing on all 'consultation' studios.
No one farms anything for points they are a dime to a hundred. Buying a single game gives you thousands. No one is ever in need or farms points when every steam user has them in the hundreds of thousands by this point. These likely are genuine left wing cultists, being retarded like they are obligated to be by their cult DIEvershitty overloards.
I have like a hundred thousand points just from buying stuff over the years and I have no idea what to do with them. If I could, I'd give them away.

It's not much, but I do that without getting into the drudgery of commenting or arguing with people.
If someone makes a compelling argument about keeping globohomo out of gaming, I do my part in rewarding them to indicate to other normies to also reward them for standing against the herd. It's a small indicator to reward people for speaking out. It's the only use I have for the points, other than just downloading random startup screens for the Steam Deck.
Yeah most likely.
Sharing a fitting story from Germany: there's a twitter account called "ÖRR blog" (öffentlich rechtlicher rundfunk - free public radio our "independent" media that we have to pay totally not taxes for).
It basically focused on interviews of those media and their "totally random" interview partners. They basically google the name that is showed and say "Hey, this totally random person is a politician for party X". Or "She works for a company that works for party Y". Most often the government / leftist parties are mentioned.
Then another twitter account showed up "örr-blog-blog" and said "Hey, there were farmer protests and you didn't mention that the same happened with CDU/CSU politicians". Answer "we didn't get submissions, but we can work together if you want that". Of course no answer.
Another comment: "Strange that we got targeted for the lack of reporting on a certain topic, and not the media who didn't do proper reporting in the first place."
The current shill tactic is "If you notice X, then you also need to make sure you notice Y and Z as well! Or you're evil!". But they will never offer help.
There is nothing that points are even useful for. I bought everything that I could ever possibly, maybe, someday, think about potentially using two years ago. The only thing left to spend these pointless points on are the silly "awards."
Ah, maybe it's so they can then use the points to astroturf other comments without having to spend a dime? Shill tactics is the only reason I can see anyone caring enough about points to try and farm them.
I think you can give multiple awards to a comment or thread, so a single account can do a lot of astroturfing if they are getting the points for free.
