i have been saying this for years but they really do just ruin everything they touch, and it despairs me to see it every time a tranny is involved in any of my hobbies in any way
i see it invading manga - i read it daily, i read fan translations and it is working its way into the base content of the actual manga, not just localizers fucking it up, more and more isekai or fantasy stories are including either literal trannies, or some type of option to just freely change gender back and forth like its just that easy (magic, magic tools, sometimes as literal as a male character putting on a wig and dress and he is suddenly a gorgeous woman somehow)
it fucking sucks, and all i can do is not support that stuff by not buying their products, but i wish i could send a stronger message sometimes
Isekai is a great concept that I have daydreamed about since I first played RPGs as a child, it's honestly just a fantasy subgenre but JP likes to explore those a lot and play off of those tropes a lot.
A lot of isekai is garbage, but I am not sure what you would mean by proto-transsexual in this context to be honest.
For reference my favorite fantasy/isekai have no trannies in them, or sex changes for characters, but I will read new series to see what they are like and it is how I find things like that.
