It's kinda sad that a fucking decade later, people are still unsure what the fuck happened. Like they memory hole the good, but remember the negative.
It's like if there's an organic movement, and it hasn't been taken over by a corporation to control it, no one knows what it's about. This is the power of PR, and why every grass roots movement will fail without it.
Sorta like the way Occupy got infected and turned into bullshit. Near the end of it, we all had to let black people speak, weren't allowed to clap, and had to do what 'an organizer' wanted, instead of y'know, doing what the group collective was supposed to be about.

And the reason they are unsure is the exact same reason for gamergate in the first place: the shitbag left seizing control of the means to set/control the narrative.
You'll never see the gaming media, or the normal media, publish a single honest story about what gamergate actually was, because the same shitbag leftists work in those very companies, and they publish articles in a way that purposely obfuscates, or outright lies about what the reasons were. They abuse their positions to push their agenda.
You'll never be able to go onto Wikipedia and read an honest accounting of what gamergate was, because it's been captured by the same radical leftist activists, who have entrenched themselves there, making sure that no one can edit that article in a way that conflicts with their narrative of the events.
You'll never be able to go onto Reddit - in any place other than minor, non large, non front-page sub - and post/read about what really happened, because the same leftist imbeciles mod all the larger default subs, and they make sure that only the leftist version of events is permitted.
Gamergate is the main event that exposed - to our generation(s) - what the radical left has been up to. Everything they are able to achieve, and have been able to achieve - not just gamergate - is directly because of their control of the narrative.

Occupy was always a deranged communist movement from the moment the first greasy unshaved retard set foot in Zuccotti Park.
