I know. Cody should’ve won last year. I get the long game but wow. I’m pumped to see the Rock. In my other comment I acknowledged that my favorite time as a fan is 80s through ruthless aggression so I don’t have the same excitement as I used to even though I still watch. Hopefully they can resolve this. The rock does bring eyeballs whether young fans like it or not. I have some friends coming over to watch mania now who have watched wrestling since attitude or RE
Rock is a star but I do wonder how much extra attention he'll bring to the product. Wrestlemania is a huge event and gets watched by casuals a lot. And we aren't in the PPV era anymore. Who is going to sign up for Peacock just for Mania?
And even if he brings a lot of attention there is something off about alienating your loyal fan base to appease the rubber neckers. I'm willing to give WWE time to tell a compelling story, after all they only did this last Friday. But I can understand why folks are thrown off with the direction.
No disagreement from me but I fully admit that I live in the past as a wrestling fan so I’m excited but they should’ve had Rock Vs Roman 2 years ago. Cody should’ve won last year. I do believe something like Rock vs Roman happens night 1 and Cody vs Reigns night 2. Or a Daniel Bryan scenario comes up. It’s interesting but like I said I am not as engaged in the product as I once was but do hope I get to see Rock in action as well as Cody get what he deserves
