The best outcome would be Trump gets their donation, Trump supporters continue the boycott because they know Trump's weak "Second Chance? What do you think?" is saying he doesn't really mean it, and then he uses that money to help win.
That relies on his followers reading between the lines and not blindly following.
His willingness to let people kiss the ring for acceptance or forgiveness was always his undoing. It's how we wound up getting Trump endorsements for the shittiest Democrat-Lite RINOs that all stabbed him in the back.
