I have wild Magpies as pets. They are actually very intelligent and remember different humans - so I don't get swooped. The big spiders look scary but aren't poisonous. Having said that I've been bitten by a Red back Spider which left me very ill - luckily had the anti-venom and I've been bitten by a White Tail Spider - which in itself isn't that poisonous - but it has bacteria on its fangs that can cause flesh eating - that was very painful and lasted weeks and I had to go on a course of anti-biotics.
