I provided you an example of where the winner of the GOP primary was a weaker general election candidate than the loser of that primary with Ford and Reagan.
I didn't compare Reagan to DeSantis. Reagan gave illegals amnesty, DeSantis would never do such a thing.
Look at the facts, Trump becoming the nominee and losing to Biden in the general doesn't give anyone cause to celebrate.

I said that the dynamic of this current primary is similar to 1976 where the GOP primary electorate unfortunately picked the weaker general election candidate who went on to lose the general.
Trump is favored by rurals and boomers which is enough to win the nomination but it is not enough to win swing states.
