Sure, the difference is though anyone who does their research cross-checks sources and looks at multiple stuff. I've noticed this pattern with normies too, if you talk about a certain topic, they'll have inevitably gleaned something off the first page of google and that's it. As we all know depending on what keyword you search up, you're going to get some insanely biased results by anyone's standards.
A great example of this with recent events would be Milei and the German farmer protests. Now if you're a retarded normie, the first thing you're going to do is see a bunch of news articles from extremely left wing sources ( Except they don't know this ) and assume that they're a bunch of far right types and should be attacked for it.
They simply can't comprehend just how much google skews search results. They're not clued in like we are on the algorithm bullshit where especially on youtube which would be regarded as another mainstream 'source' these days they nudge you towards different videos based on what you've clicked.
This is nothing new. This is the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect and it has been going on since before the internet was a thing. We just happen to be some terminally online berks who chose to become informed on this stuff.
