If Trump wanted to prevent something like J6 then he should have never had his supporters come to D.C. and especially not meet up near the Capitol building on that day.
People had their lives ruined over Trump leading them into a trap.
For him to say that he would have used lethal military force to stop his OWN people from entering a building and walking inside is disgusting.
If Trump knew he wasn't getting adequate security, then he should have never had his supporters walk into this trap.
Trump has poor judgment, refuses to accept he has made any mistakes and tries to defend himself now by saying he would killed his own people.
People had their lives ruined over Trump leading them into a trap.
I'll agree with da raptor on this. J6 was a dumb boomer moment that went just far enough to hang people out to dry, and Trump should have 1) foreseen and hedged against this and 2) taken more steps to protect his supporters afterward. Point 2 is debatable though, because pardons on the way out may have had nuclear consequences from Mitch McConnell et al.
I remember highly upvoted Q-ish posts on The Donald, probably from glowies in hindsight, urging people to prepare to take the country back by force and ignore DC gun laws so they could be armed for stuff going down. One guy actually got arrested before J6 for being fool enough to heed that advice. Trump's team should've been abreast of those rumors and planned accordingly - the tenor of his online support was not hard to feel.

It is beyond stupid that he is doing this now.
You're blaming trump for leading people into a trap instead of the people who actually made the trap
Interesting strategy cotton
Edit: nvm you're one of those
