I can't remember who it was originally on twitter, but a whole lot on the anti side said that pro gg had thought leaders, and they would just follow the advice of whichever leader said something they would be forced to agree with and go along with, as weird as that sounds.
That wasn't how it was. I've never fully agreed with anyone on any given subject in or out of gg. But it was telling it is how they act.
Ever since I started noticing that they'd claim we're doing the thing they're doing, it made politics easier to follow.
Muh russian disinformation campaign ... started and funded by them, over nothing, as an example.
