She wrote a lot of fun pop-country songs years ago and she still sounds good today but I don't understand the absolute mania surrounding her this year.
A more gradually brewed Madonna I suppose. Madonna never had any period in her career where she was remotely subtle, wholesome, or innocent.
Not that I'd argue that Taylor Swift had a lot of wholesomeness in her career either, but there was at least a brief period of her early career where she wasn't regularly alluding to promiscuous themes.
I'd agree there I just find it the most apt comparison fan wise to a female singer of that level of popularity wise.
And yes if the evidence I've seen is believed, she was a 4chan shitposter earlier in career and was pretty wholesome/had based opinions. Not sure when the change happened but she wasn't always so promiscuous/left leaning.
Probably has to do with name recognition and the relative 'longevity' of her career, in addition to the number of top albums and singles. She's also Democratically aligned, which is a big factor for the DNC-controlled media to promote her. She gets the 18 - 24 year olds to the voting booths, apparently.
Politics. It's come out that she has leftist politics, so media/tech are pumping her up.
If she came out tomorrow and said she had reconsidered, and her politics were on the right, this would all go away in an instant, and she would go back to just being another musician.
I guess she probably is the last pretty white girl pop star and none of her songs are raunchier than "I love my boyfriend" and "I broke up with my jerk boyfriend".
"All" as in everyone knew enough about her to make her a common cultural touch stone. The last topic everyone could gather around the water cooler and talk about.

Compare that to
"And when I got home, 'fore I said, "Amen" Asking God if he could play it again"
So basically Madonna? I know people think she's an outlier in her popularity but she's pretty much the Madonna of this women's generation.
You could probably go back 30-40 years and find the same things being said about her.

Not many quicker ways to have a population vote away all remaining freedoms.

She started dating the Kansas City Chiefs' star Tight End, Travis Kelce.
She's dated a lot of famous guys.
Heard this on the Lotus Eaters recently when someone asked what was the appeal.
Taylor Swift is the last entertainment domain that crosses all segments of society.

'All' segments of society? She still sounds like a teenie bopper singer. Her material has matured at all.

lol, apparently they missed this segment. ;)
