And the thing people forget is: One Piece started in 1999, right after Oda finished the first arc(the east blue arc). Pacing issues have ALWAYS been a thing. While I am a bit more wary around netflix, especially after what they did with Jojo(just dump it all instantly)...I'm cautiously optimistic. People seem to forget how the series had fillers for ages, now they just stall but the fillers were still intrusive. I've always said I want a reanimation of One Piece with current techniques, with better pacing and seasonal like MHA or Jujutsu Kaisen. So we've gotta wait and see, I'd hazard to guess it'll be at least better than the anime we currently have. If it'll be great we gotta wait for.
Usually, for a battle manga it would be 2.5 chapters per episode ish. the fan project one pace made a great comparison. It is absolutely ridiculous how long they stretch out one attack.
