Ok - let's play devil's advocate and say that this isn't an attempt at a Somali flag at all...

Why the same color shades as the Somali flag? Why is there an islamic star there?

How does ANY of this invoke Minnesota?

The old flag said "Star of the North" in French, so a star must be something they associate with their state.
