The modern form of child birth in hospitals, where they lay the mother flat on their back with legs spread on stirrups, is incredibly uncomfortable for women not on pain meds. When women have natural births they prefer other positions, like the one in this comic, sitting down or squatting, or partially submerged in water.
I was speaking primarily of the stance. Women have been giving birth naturally for thousands of years, and mid wives and husbands have "caught" babies just fine from this position. But, you're right that they wouldn't cover their rear end or wear pants. Many women who give birth naturally prefer to be completely naked. Even fabric touching them can bother them, but it depends on the woman and the birth.
"The moon is made of cheese
"Well, that's not true, it's made of rock.
"The moon has been made of choose for thousands of years.
"Millions of people have eaten a piece of the moon
"As part of their yearly ritual before modern times.
"Are you saying you're right and they're wrong??
Doesn't get at the question at all.
This position being typical is very unlikely.
babies come out head first
babies necks are very very weak when they're born they cannot even support the weight of their own head
delivering it on all 4 would mean the baby hitting the ground head first
onto a very very weak neck
so basically this position has some risk of killing or crippling the baby for life
and labor can go on for hours...the idea that the person is spending hours squatting or on all fours is not really practical
I'm not exactly sure why you're planting your flag on this hill. It seems rather obvious that you've never had kids.
Women aren't laying down, or in any specific position, for hours while in labor. The pushing only happens when fully dilated. Many women prefer to be up and about before then, or change positions constantly until right at the end when the baby is coming. Everything you've seen in Hollywood media or what hospitals make women do while on pain meds is contrary to what women will do when giving birth naturally. Furthermore, pregnancy is only super long for new mothers. The more kids a woman has, the quicker it goes.
But hey, you don't have to take my word for it. Go talk with midwives that specialize in natural home births. Or go talk to the Amish. Or read a book on it. There's tons of them. It's not like I'm arguing this from the void, completely absent of experience and the entire history of our species.

You can tell this is rubbish by how it's worded.
Let's write this out:
Did I mention she's still wearing pants? lol, you're full of it.
Why?

The question is if it happened.
