The defining difference, in this context, would be the anti-imperialist movement. The invasion of outsiders in an attempt to claim the land for their own may not be defined entirely as imperialism but it serves the same goal.

But does the IRA? Have they been disbanded? You'd think we'd hear from them in some way regarding this authoritarian clampdown on political speech.
In an ideal world the IRA would make short work of the MPs pushing universal policing of thought in cahoots with their masters in London.
