I'm guessing there's going to be a severe tonal shift between the cutscenes that depicts the protagonist as a reluctant killer who is 100% morally justified in her criminal behavior, and the actual gameplay where you can run over a dozen people on the sidewalk before you get a single wanted level. Oh, and I can't wait for the resurgence of moral panic as GTA will be accused of being a school shooting simulator because there will be a child character in cutscenes. Meanwhile I'm processing newborns into sausages in Rimworld.
At the very least, that's not a new angle for GTA, after 4 tried to do a lot of similar things leading to the same tonal whiplash for a lot of people.
But, at least Nico was likable enough that you could understand his character. I doubt spicy latinX mom will be nearly as compelling or justified.
Niko could also be role-played as a complete schizo whose brain has been entirely rotted through with PTSD and alcoholism, having episodes on his way to go bowling with his cousin. I doubt this girl is gonna be a type-1 bipolar, ripping a girl's weave out because she said "bless you" in a "rude" voice.
