Yep. In the indeterminate amount of time after his parents left school, they amassed a fortune large enough that Harry never had to worry about money. He has enough that he never really thinks about it running out, and it certainly never comes up in the story.
Isn't that mostly from gifts, donations and from the bounty paid to the Potter estate for the death of Voldemort, paid largely from the coffers of the former noble families whose last remaining heirs were killed by him, like the Monroes? (Although I forget if that family name is canon, or unique to HPMoR.)
I don't recall any of that from the main 7 books, which is the majority of my knowledge on the series. If JKR mentioned any of that in interviews or elsewhere, I never read it or heard of it before now.
