I vote we just stop supporting Africa. They can either die off, or figure it the fuck out.
Western meddling in Africa is the reason why their famines would be so deadly if it were not for the continued western meddling
"Oh no the harvests in Africa are bad send them food" people who would have died don't die, breed more leading to more people needing food "oh no the harvests in Africa are bad send them more food" oh no if we don't send them food thousands will die
Also the food being sent to Africa makes it hard for the farmers to compete because there's no competing with free leading to lower and lower local harvests and more and more free food from the west
Things would reach a natural equilibrium if the outside meddling went away.
you know how in star trek they have the prime directive that tells them to not interfere with developing cultures because changing a culture entirely by just giving them hyper advanced technological shit without letting them figure most of it out for themselves would be massively damaging?
i really have to wonder if they were talking about the western countries meddling in africa or if it was an accident
