Last time I legitimately had amazing customer service might have been 20 years ago.
It's a weird thing. I Germany, the customer service that Americans demand would be considered insane. On the other hand, Americans expect to pay tips for anything.
What do Germans think of Japan?
If I want German treatment, I make sure to mention I am from Germany. The Japanese think you want American style treatment since that's the majority of their visitors.
As for Japanese, the joke goes that it makes sense why we were in the Axis together. The culture can be similar in several places except protein intake.
What's German customer service? Staring at you with an impenetrable gaze ?
I don't hate em but nothing Ive ever gotten there would be considered service. I guess by my American standards.
