So-called "experts" on social topics have almost always been such fakes and frauds. I think it goes all the way back to stupid trends like "Dear Abby".
Thinking about it now I see a straight line from things like Dear Abby to leftist hellholes like r/AITA. The common thread is the need for external validation of one's moral choices. It's a very leftist and a very female need. I've only seen women and weak males seek that out. A man with solid moral compass is more interested in doing what's right than what's popular, and he's going to be a right winger.
